Personal Biography

I was born in Cuba, grew up in South Florida and have lived and worked in the Saint Louis area since 1980.  I've earned a Bachelor's Degree in Art Education from the University of Florida and a Master's Degree in Art from Fontbonne University.  I've taught art at Belleville Area Community College and been an elementary school art instructor in the Francis Howell School District since 1992.  My first position in the district was at Central Elementary.  I transferred to Fairmount Elementary  in 1998, where I've taught art for the past ten years.
My specialties are painting and sculpture.  The banner at the top of all these web pages is one of my paintings.  It's an oil on canvas named Sunrise Over Lake Yellowstone, painted during a trip to Yellowstone National Park in 2006.

Personal Art Gallery

Below are some samples of my artwork.  Which are the landscapes and seascapes?  Where are the sculptures?  Are there some still-lifes in the gallery?  Do you see any self-portraits?
